I bought a Kensington backpack (not the contour) at the AppleCentre Amsterdam in September '04. In two months the padded layer tore near the velcro exposing the foam inside.
Initial mails to Kensington elicited no response. Later when I persisted, they refused to fix it even when sent photographs. And asked me to get it back to the dealer in Amsterdam. And I'm in faraway India. So basically I was left holding a torn bag.

So my experience with Kensington is...
1. Buy it if the dealer is near where you stay.
2. Hope and pray it doesn't tear, but if it does, be prepared to take it up with them.
3. If #1 is not possible and #2 happens, find out a good repair shop near where you stay.

That's what I eventually did. I still use the bag, but as repaired locally.

Just my, individual and probably isolated experience.
