If you are a user of other DMN sites you may already have discovered the powerful new content search engine we deployed a few months ago. But DMNForums.com users did not have access to this content search feature until just this week when the new forums went live.
First, don't mistake the DMN Content Search with the DMN Forums Search. They are two different things. The DMN Forums search is what you see on the left side of the menu.

With this search tool you can find anything in any post on DMNForums.com, searching all forums and all posts or searching within a single forum.
DMN Content Search
To access the incredibly vast DMN Content library you can either just browse by catagory or use a search.
The brose by catagory has been in place for quite a while. You access either approach from the left hand menu.

Below the Forum Post search field is a set of menus for news, features, reviews, etc.

Browsing
Lets say you want to browse the tutorials. Click on the Tutorial link and you will get the following:

This is a list of all tutorials in the DMN library, listed in date order starting with most recent. You can refine it by selecting one of the types like Production and clicking the GO button.

Now you have filtered the tutorials to just those in the Production area. You can page through the hundreds of items there looking for those of interest, or you can refine your approach by using the new Content Search.
Searching For Content
At the top of these pages you can see a search box. Suppose you are interested in After Effects, just type in that phrase and click the Search Articles button.

You will get a results page with everything on After Effects, including tutorials, reviews, news, press releases, features, etc., sorted by Relevance.

You can refine this to give you everything in date order (most recent first) by changing the Relevance option to Date.

To just get After Effects Tutorials change the editorial Types field from All to Techniques.

To make sure you get the best results and not just techniques that only mention After Effects switch back to Relevance mode, and search again.

So give the new content search a try. You'll find it is very flexible and very fast. Single word searches are completed in as little as a half a second, which is amazing considering the tens of thousands of articles that are searched.
