We've added two new additional ways for you to be notified by email when anyone responds to any post or any thread here on DMNForums.com, even if you have not created it or have not responded to it yourself.

To use this feature select the post you want to monitor (or any post in a thread you want to monitor) and add it to your Personal Archives by clicking on the Add To Archive button when viewing the post.



This places the post in your Personal Archive page. (Remember you need to be a registered user to have this and other user features. Registration is free and easy to do.) 

Then from the left menu select My Archives.



This brings up your private list of posts you want to keep handy, and from here you can now select those you want to be notified by email if someone responds to them.

Here is an example My Archives list:



By clicking on the button on the left side and choosing the action you want to take you can now be notified whenever anyone responds to the specific post or to any post in that thread.  The posts you are monitoring will be labeled with one of these two icons.

Post Notification - you will be notified only if someone responds to this specific post.

Thread Notification - you will be notified if someone responds to any post within the thread this post is in.

With these two new features you now have four ways to get notifications.

1. When you make a post you can elect to recieve notifications when someone responds to it

2. From your User Preferences page you can select forums you want to be notified of when any post is made in the forum(s) you have selected.

3. You can now be notified when someone responds to any specific post.

4. You can now be notified when someone responds to any post in a specific thread.
