free BrewDog opensources entire recipe archive

BrewDog have released their entire recipe back catalogue.

I actually gave up drink last year, but I've been considering brewing my own. If you add lactic acid bacteria to the mix, and ferment properly, the end result will have many strains of beneficial bacteria to help improve gut health. Almost all commercial brewers pasteurise their beer and that kills any beneficial bacteria.

And assuming those bacteria survive the alcohol and digestion you think that will outweigh the damage and vitamin loss caused by the alcohol? If you want a beer have one but it's no health drink

Alcohol is poison, I'll give you that. But research has shown that beer with beneficial bacteria, especially honey based drinks such as mead, may be far more beneficial than ordinary beers and wines. The research into gut health and the health of the microbiome is gathering pace and being linked to everything from Autism and Alzeheimers to Obesity and Diabetes. So, if you are going to drink, maybe a probiotic laden glass of mead would be better than a can of Fosters?
